Dean took over the Editors role in March 2001 (since Volume 5 issue 5) and has steadily improved the magazine's content and style. He was a regular contributor to Computer Pilot for many years before his new appointment and still contributes articles to this day. He has effected the transition of the magazine from bi-monthly to monthly issues. With an energetic style and eye for detail, Dean has transformed the magazine into the most dynamic and professionally presented flight simulation magazine on the planet! |

Tony is Computer Pilot's graphic designer. He is reposnsible for general magazine layout and reproduction of sketches and images that you see if each issue of the magazine. His ability to create great diagrams from rough sketches is a valuable asset to the magazine, particularly in regard to graphics featured in the aviation lessons offered each month. |

Arturo Weiss is a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Daytona Beach), where he specialized in Aviation Safety, Air Traffic Control, and Aviation Business Administration. After college, he worked for Airbus as a Training Account Representative at the company's Miami Training Center. Later, Arturo served as the Safety Programs Administrator for the Experimental Aircraft Association in Oshkosh, Wis. In this position, he oversaw the design and implementation of the organization's safety programs. His work also included managing several safety initiatives, writing a monthly safety article, and overseeing 100 volunteers at the organization's AirVenture and Sun 'n Fun events. He also assisted, and provided guidance, to the NTSB on experimental aircraft accident investigations. Arturo has since left the EAA and now is a full-time freelance aviation writer contracted with various aviation publications, including Computer Pilot. In addition to his writing work, Arturo also provides consulting services to the industry, including his role as aviation consultant for Denver-area TV stations, KCEC(Univision Network). |

Doug focuses on FS2004 for Computer Pilot, including his Horton’s Hints column. He has over 14 years experience with computer flight simulation and helped test the last two versions of MSFS. Doug is an instrument-rated private pilot and flies his Piper Dakota around the Midwestern U.S. He served over 20 years active and reserve in nuclear submarines and is a retired U.S. Naval Reserve Captain. Doug is now an engineering consultant, writer, and speaker, and with regular business travel, he has accumulated over a million miles on commercial airlines. |

Al was born in Matane, Quebec, Canada, in 1948. He served 25 years as Aircrew in the Royal Canadian Air Force, in a non-pilot role. His job centered on RADAR, Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) and radio communications. He has flown over 6,000 hours in everything from the Canadair Argus, the Tracker, Sea-King Helicopter, DC-3's and P-3's. One of the highlights, of his flying career, was being on the winning crew of the Fincastle Competition in Adelaide, Australia, in 1981. This competition involves Anti Submarine Airplanes and crews from England, Australia, Canada and New Zealand. He who finds the sub the fastest, wins! He started in Flight Simulation at the very beginning, in the early 80's and operated one of the first ever Flight Sim related web sites, back in 1990. |

Rod is the former editor/co-founder of PC Multimedia & Entertainment Magazine, the first true online publication dedicated to PC games/hardware and combat simulation coverage to debut on the web back in 1995. In 1998 PCME.com was sold to Computer Games Magazine and from there on Rod went the freelance route, and has been a contributing editor/writer to almost two dozen publications online and in-print since.
He is also the former hardware and combat simulation guru from FlightSimulatorWorld Magazine, and is now a valuable part of the Computer Pilot team as the primary hardware guru and contributor of reviews of various MS Flight Simulator add-on products.

Jonathan M. Stern is a Washington, D.C., based lawyer who specializes in aviation law. Before his legal career, he was a certified flight instructor for single-engine and multi-engine airplanes and instruments, as well as an air traffic controller at Reagan Washington National Airport. Stern is the author of two books on Microsoft Flight Simulator and was the instrument flying columnist for MicroWINGS Magazine. |
